Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Canada Catering Company Inc. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, determining food portion sizes and costs, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory and records
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a high level of organization and time management
