Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Slash Construction Ltd. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in carpentry or related field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
