Your Future Role

As a Product Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of a product portfolio from its initial introduction to the market to its end-of-life management, coordinating all related stages and activities.

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for product portfolio development and direction, taking into account customer needs and market trends.
  • Lead the product development and maintenance process, collaborating with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee project execution related to product portfolio management, ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets, and set objectives.
  • Develop an effective market launch strategy for each product, identifying appropriate distribution channels, defining prices, and creating promotion and communication plans.
  • Analyze the competition to understand product positioning on the market and identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Ensure rigorous financial management of the product portfolio, developing and tracking budgets, evaluating costs and revenues, and taking corrective measures as needed.
  • Maintain quality and regulatory compliance for all products in the portfolio, working closely with compliance and quality teams.
  • Actively manage relationships with commercial teams, key decision-makers, and industry leaders to maintain strong ties and foster mutual understanding of objectives and priorities.
Required Skills
  • Education in a related field.
  • Approximately seven years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a multinational company.
  • Passion for business development and commercial relationships.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and commercialization principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Proficiency in English, French, and/or Spanish for communication with clients and suppliers outside of Quebec.
