About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Designer at BESTECH, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence of our industrial projects. Reporting to the Manager of Power Systems Engineering Services, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop electrical systems, including protection & control and instrumentation systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical design principles, practices, and standards, as well as experience with electrical load calculations, power distribution systems, lighting design, low-voltage systems, equipment controls, and instrumentation.

You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with other building systems, such as mechanical, structural, and automation. Your analytical skills will be essential in conducting thorough analysis and calculations to ensure the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with electrical design projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and design electrical systems and components for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Lead the electrical design process from concept through to completion, including schematic design, layout, and detailed drawings.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to specify electrical equipment and materials.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design and engineering, with a focus on industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Microstation, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and local building codes.

Estimated Salary Range

$100,214.40 to $113,568.00 per year. The actual salary may vary based on your unique combination of experience and industry knowledge.
