Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

SEI is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies for our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces
  • Inspect final products for quality and accuracy
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Test prototypes and production tools to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Verify machined parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years or more of experience in tool and die fabrication
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination
  • Standing for extended periods
