Job Overview
We are hiring a full-time permanent Engineering Technologist position working out of Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will apply technical skill and experience in the preparation of detailed electrical and civil designs for underground, network, and overhead distribution systems up to 25kV in the downtown area.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop detailed electrical and civil designs for downtown and network system projects.
- Provide technical support to project managers, drafters, field crews, contractors, and customers for various projects.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Electrical Utility Code, Canadian Electrical Code, and EPCOR Distribution Standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
Requirements
- A successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in electrical or civil engineering technology from a recognized technical institute.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a technologist with ASET.
- Broad knowledge of industry safety practices and familiarity with applicable safety regulations.
- Demonstrable understanding of electrical and underground principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products such as Word and Excel.
