We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Inspiretci in Lucknow, ON.

Industry - Food Manufacturing

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform repairs to minimize downtime, optimize part usage, and address problems proactively
  • Assist with all maintenance operations, including machinery, HVAC systems, and boiler operations
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and charts
  • Conduct continuous assessments of the manufacturing facility, identifying areas for repair and improvement
  • Work closely with Production Manager, Supervisors, and QA to resolve maintenance issues and problems
  • Follow the Preventative Maintenance program and maintain a log of all maintenance orders
  • Provide 24/7 coverage and emergency response, including equipment repair, stabilization, and resource mobilization as needed
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are removed from production lines prior to startup, cleaned, and restarted as necessary
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic computer skills and comprehend complex plans and specifications
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, work in a freezer environment, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects on time
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, as needed to support a 24-hour manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, preferred

Education and Experience

  • Required
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in plant maintenance, with a food manufacturing environment preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred
  • Maintenance certificate or Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Maintenance, or related field
