Service Center Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Center Operations Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining facility resources.

Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service via various channels, including phone, email, fax, and in-person interactions.
- Coordinate rush deliveries with production, technical services, and purchasing teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, distributors, and outside sales staff.
- Utilize SAP software to prepare proposals, quotes, and order placements.
- Operate SAP software for receiving, shipping, moving, and tracking goods.
- Monitor the status of existing orders and shipments.
- Maintain facility resources and document control.
- Support the service center unit with tasks such as dismantling and cleaning mechanical seals and components, inspecting seal components for defects and dimensional deviations, and conducting static and dynamic testing.
- Identify materials and determine whether repairs are possible or replacement is required.
- Produce reports for quotation purposes and scope of repairs.
- Pack and assemble seals for shipment to customers (new and repaired).
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- 2-5 years of related work experience.
- Intermediate-level skills with SAP, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- An advantage is a working knowledge of mechanical seals.
- Brief knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with materials (metals, etc.) - a technical background is a plus.
- The ability to communicate fluently and effectively with customers and employees.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Solve practical problems.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications.
- Familiarity with the SAP platform.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently, and undertake site visits to customers.
- Work independently or collaboratively as needed.
- Good judgment and a professional demeanor are required.
- English is mandatory; French is a plus.
