About the Role:

A senior software architect is needed to lead hands-on development and provide design pattern insight. This role will be part of the S&P Global structured finance value stream technology team in the Ratings Division. The team is responsible for developing scalable solutions by working directly with the product development team. Responsibilities:

  • Develop web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other open source Java frameworks, RESTful web services.
  • Enterprise level integrations using Distributed streaming platform, REST, OKTA, etc.
  • Front End development using React/Angular and MFE architectures.
  • Database development on PostgreSQL, Oracle, and integrations with application services.
  • Application containerization and deployments through CI/CD pipelines, and AWS services like S3, EKS, EC2, etc.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and good understanding of data model; Databricks knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in deployment using containers.
  • Good knowledge about Infrastructure and exposure to CI/CD.
  • Observability, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting using Splunk, ELK, Jaeger, etc.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years hands-on experience with related frameworks and technologies (Spring, Restful services, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, MVC, JSP, etc.).
  • Experience in design, architecting, and building microservices-based distributed systems in a serverless environment (containers platforms).
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies like React/Angular/ext JS.
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with different database technologies (like RDBMS, NoSQL) and Data modeling.
  • Experience in Automated Unit Testing frameworks.
  • Experience in enforcing Security, Engineering principles along with Quality standards.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Design and maintain application architecture including database schema and API design.
  • Proficiency in the development environment, including IDE, web & application server, GIT, Azure DevOps, unit-testing tool and defect management tools.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Prior development on Camunda workflow tool or any other open source workflow tool.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is CAD 90,000 to CAD 143,500. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
