Training Program Overview

Our 6-month training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to excel as a Personal Support Worker (PSW). The program includes paid PSW training, virtual learning, in-person skills lab, and required placements. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in personal care activities, household management, and general support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Help clients with meal preparation and nutrition
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Ability to travel and attend meetings as needed
  • Valid G or G2 driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Standard First Aid and level C CPR certification within 3 weeks of start date
  • Proof of updated required immunizations: MMR, Varicella/Zosters, HepB, Tetanus, and negative Tuberculosis test within the last 6 months
  • Clear police check and vulnerable sector check
