Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide guidance on healthy living
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and communicate with healthcare teams
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Experience in personal care or nursing care an asset
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and CPR Certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
