Job Summary
The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professor to teach an advanced course in auditing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing and assurance, with a proven track record of teaching and research in this field.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach an advanced course in auditing, covering topics such as the role of the auditing profession, audit and assurance concepts, and current issues facing the profession.
- Develop and implement a course syllabus that aligns with the University's curriculum requirements.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Contribute to the development of the University's auditing program.
Requirements
- PhD in accounting or a related field.
- Recent professional experience in advanced auditing, with a strong understanding of CAS and IAS.
- Teaching experience, preferably in the area of auditing.
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) and a specialist designation in auditing (CIA, CA-IFA, etc).
Working Conditions
