About the Job:

This is an inventory of future vacancies for positions within our organization, specifically in forensic science services. The successful candidate will work under supervision or as part of a team to gather information, analyze data, and provide results to supervisors or colleagues.

The primary responsibility of this position is the completion of training in forensic science services. You will study methods used to maintain exhibit integrity, learn to select appropriate samples, and apply scientific techniques to extract information from exhibit material.

About the Salary:

The salary range for this position is $38,789 to $83,748 per year, based on location and experience. This figure reflects the typical compensation package for employees in similar roles within the Public Service of Canada.

About the Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in a natural, physical, or applied science with specialization in a relevant field. You should also possess knowledge of pharmacology and toxicology, as well as excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

In addition, you may be required to have experience working in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory, handling biological samples, and using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) instrumentation.
