The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team at PTW Energy Services Ltd. in Calgary, AB. This is a casual position up to 44 hours per week, requiring local residency or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

Sandblasting:

  • Sandblast structural steel to ensure a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare skids and material for painting
  • Operate and maintain sandblasting equipment
  • Move fabricated materials to designated areas
  • Perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Clean skids and material for shipping
  • Inspect final product, ensuring conformance to specifications
  • Ensure housekeeping is completed in daily assigned area
  • Comply with standards and procedures of the PTW health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulation
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience sandblasting and/or painting in an industrial capacity
  • Aerial Work Platform (AWP) ticket and/or experience is an asset
  • Previous experience with rigging and overhead cranes
  • Valid forklift certification is an asset
  • Must have own transportation as facility is not accessible by public transportation
  • Must have CSA approved safety boots
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
