Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, layout, fitting, and fabrication of various custom metal projects. They will use technical skills, drawings, schematics, specific welding processes, and other documentation to maintain quality and meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld, layout, fit, and fabricate custom metal projects
  • Use technical skills, drawings, schematics, and specific welding processes to maintain quality and meet company standards
  • Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Promote safe work practices and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Act, regulations, and all applicable legislation
  • Perform other duties outside the normal scope of daily tasks for the betterment of the company
Requirements
  • 3+ years of welding/fitting experience
  • CWB and TSSA certified and/or able to pass CWB and TSSA testing (as required)
  • Experience operating tools and equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, scissor lifts, welding, and cutting equipment
  • Safety-conscious work habits
  • Clear understanding of crane rigging and multi-hoist lifts
  • Clear understanding of fit process (layout, Q.A. check, fit, Q.A. check)
  • Familiarity with FCAW, GMAW, GTAW processes in both stainless and carbon applications
  • Able to understand and interpret complex blueprints performing lay-out work as per engineering drawings, bill of materials, and work orders
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Accountability and ability to work in a team or with minimum supervision
  • Willing to work different shifts and extra hours as required
