We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from illnesses and injuries.

About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist who has a passion for working with older adults. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients and help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical function and develop personalized treatment plans to promote independence and safety.
  • Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and staff on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Supervise support staff and students, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • At least two years of experience working with geriatric populations.
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
