Brandt is seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team at our Red Deer Construction & Forestry location.

This role is responsible for assisting the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the Service Department's operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced
  • Maintain the service library with current information under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
  • Maintain Service Department filing and records
  • Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
  • Maintain accessories and supplies and prepare replacement orders
  • Prepare Service Technician efficiency reports
  • Process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
