Weekend Support Care Specialist

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team in Richmond Hill. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential care and support to our patients, enabling them to recover safely from acute illnesses or remain in their homes throughout the aging process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, skincare, and light meal preparation.
- Continually assess, anticipate, and respond to new and changing needs of patients, communicating available resources to patients when necessary.
- Perform delegated and/or assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
- Travel within assigned regions between patients' residences or facilities.
- Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
- RN/RPN Student who has completed a minimum of year one of the program.
- Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
- Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
- Two Step TB Test (last 12 months).
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (additional language skills considered an asset).
