About the Role

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled EHS Advisor to promote a health, safety, and environmental culture across all levels of employees. This role will support our Industrial Division and involve working on projects across southern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for workers, owners, and clients.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, including emergency response plans and environmental plans.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, behavior-based observations, and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Update Material Safety Data Sheets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and distribute safety materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Provide safety presentations to clients and promote Aecon's safety system to potential industry clients.
  • Conduct studies and analyze EHS data trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and monitor corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with NCSO certification.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with CRST certification and OHS Certificate or Diploma.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
