About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Law Specialist to join our team at McDonald's. As a key member of our Legal Department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business teams with the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases and license agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Lease and Agreement Negotiation: Support our business teams in negotiating and drafting commercial leases and license agreements, ensuring that our interests are protected and our business objectives are met.
  • Real Estate Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on commercial real estate transactions, including title, off-title, zoning, construction, and other matters.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and working efficiencies within the Legal team and across the business.
  • Document Development: Build precedent and template documents, and augment existing Legal Department resources.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial leases, agreements of purchase and sale for real property, and ancillary legal documents.
  • Education: Licensed as a paralegal, a law clerk designation, or equivalent law clerk education.
  • Skills: Outstanding analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, with an ability to learn quickly and apply technical skills to a wide range of business initiatives.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work on cross-functional teams.
