Job Title: Software Developer

AtkinsRéalis is a leading nuclear engineering group in Canada, providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems, as well as selecting and acquiring suitable hardware and pre-developed commercial software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain software systems, including configuration management, document management, and change control systems.
  • Develop and test software components, including integration with hardware and other software systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for existing software systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to software systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC programming, including Step 7, S7-SCL, S7-GRAPH, S7-Starter, SIMATIC NET, and WinCC Flexible.
  • Knowledge of WinCC Unified and Siemens SCADA programming.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
