The Identity and Access Management team at Carta is a software engineering group that builds services used by the entire product suite to authenticate and authorize millions of users. As a Senior Software Engineer I, you will work closely with teams across the company to solve complex permission problems and address security concerns.

About the Role

You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting IAM services for all Carta products, including login, registration, session, auditing, MFA, OAuth, Permissions, SSO. You will also reinforce service resiliency, availability, performance, and fault tolerance, as well as enable more effective troubleshooting and monitoring in authentication and authorization services.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, production-quality products with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices. You will have expertise in web security, cryptography, authentication, access control, and data governance.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience working as an individual contributor
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, production-quality products with SOA and microservices
  • Expertise in web security, cryptography, authentication, access control, and data governance

We are looking for someone who is excited by projects that create scale and enjoys working closely with stakeholders across engineering as well as product.
