Job Summary:

The Retail Merchandiser is a part-time role within the field merchandising team, reporting to the Territory Manager. This role is responsible for maintaining Hallmark Canada departments within our pharmacy, grocery, or big box retail accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising product according to a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support merchandising services with inventory management and merchandising activities in assigned retail accounts.
  • Maintain scheduled service visits and adhere to set budgets, which may flex from week to week based on retail occasions.
  • Upon receipt of instructions, follow the merchandising plan, productivity standards, and schedule provided, with attention to detail.
  • Provide additional support to cover vacant accounts, holiday periods, and seasonal peak demand periods.
  • Support department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as required.

Communication Skills:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Territory Manager to ensure knowledge of upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  • Liaise with account management as a Hallmark representative relative to scheduled service calls and build strong working relationships.
  • Communicate clearly with the Territory Manager to ensure accounts are serviced and merchandised to meet retail standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in a retail environment beneficial.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong knowledge of Smartphone technology and ability to effectively manage an email account.
