Job SummaryThe Financial Analyst will be responsible for monitoring all financial aspects of contracts, including project setup, budget changes, and revenue recognition. This role will also involve preparing and issuing sales invoices to customers and following up on accounts receivables. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for accounting for F/X forward contracts as it relates to the project and preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, financial reports, and variance analysis reports.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor all financial aspects of contracts, including project setup, budget changes, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers and follow up on accounts receivables.
- Account for F/X forward contracts as it relates to the project.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, financial reports, and variance analysis reports.
- Functional relations with virtually every other department in the Company, including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Legal, Engineering, Sales, Proposals, Project Accounting, and Business Unit Managers.
- Communicate with external parties, including customers for invoicing status, external auditors, and other accounting groups within NPG.
- Degree or diploma in an accounting-related discipline complemented by a minimum of 5 years hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Accounting designation or enrolment in an accounting designation program would be an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, mainly Excel. Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
- Advanced experience of spreadsheet applications, data manipulation techniques, vlookup, formulas, and macros.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Good relationship-building skills with a commitment to supporting a team.
BWXT Canada Ltd. offers a competitive salary range of $74,000 to $114,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and profit-sharing program.
