About the Role

You will report directly to the National Practice Leader, working closely with the Canada Investment Consulting Senior Management Team/local leadership. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office.

The Ideal Candidate
  • 12+ years of direct experience in a financial/investment consulting environment.
  • Experience working with institutional clients, especially handling a large block of clients and large client teams.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical decision-making skills in developing solutions for complex clients/business issues.
  • Able to understand the short-term and long-term needs of clients; capable of identifying business development opportunities to effectively close consulting assignments.
  • Embraces a creative spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to help with growth and expansion of the organization.
  • Ability to establish self as a trusted leader/advisor. Demonstrates strong client-facing skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information and to respond promptly and effectively to all inquiries.
  • Detail and results-oriented; able to work independently on diverse projects, balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and meet project timelines.
  • A teammate who can work with a variety of individuals.
  • Strong technical expertise and a consistent record of remaining current with respect to investment industry trends, activity in the market, and provincial and federal legislative policies and changes.
  • Planning and organizational skills through experience; ability to effectively coordinate the delivery of projects and advisory services.
  • Must be persuasive, forward-thinking, progressive, energetic, and focused.
  • Strong analytical skills; accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Requires substantial travel to service clients.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Commerce or related field, or equivalent years of experience; completion of MBA or CFA is preferred.
