About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Master Carpenter to join our team at Take Flight Contracting Ltd. This is a permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various carpentry tasks, including reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring and cutting wood, and installing floor beams and walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret building codes and blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and designs for construction projects
  • Measure and cut wood and other materials to exact specifications
  • Install floor beams, walls, and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install cabinets, shelves, and other wooden fixtures
  • Maintain and repair existing structures, ensuring they meet safety standards
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments
  • Excellent physical stamina and hand-eye coordination
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
