Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Paradise Pools and Landscaping. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build walls, chimneys, and other structures
  • Estimate materials and tools required for projects
  • Lay bricks and stone to provide veneer facing
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
  • Supervise other workers
  • Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers, and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks, refractory concretes, plastic refractories, and other materials
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in the trade
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Basic security clearance
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights
