Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our vision: Better health, best in health care.

Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients and collect information from a variety of sources to make informed nursing diagnoses and develop effective care plans.
- Provide direct individualized nursing care to patients with varying complexities of illness, including minor surgical procedures, diagnostic endoscopy procedures, and interventional therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Participate in the care and discharge planning process for patients, ensuring the care plan is established and implemented effectively.
- Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, observations, interventions, patient/family responses, outcomes/evaluations, and referrals according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years recent relevant clinical experience in the designated clinical area and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area, ability to initiate and maintain intravenous therapy, and ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety-type interventions.
