As a Staff SerDes Physical Implementation Engineer at Synopsys, Inc., you will work on various advanced SERDES developments, including the latest 56/112/224G standards.

You will be responsible for the physical implementation of complex IPs and test chips across multiple process technologies, with a focus on very advanced high-speed SERDES platforms. This role involves driving all aspects from RTL to GDS, including timing and physical sign-off, in close interaction with front-end digital, analog design and layout, CAD, and product teams.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital or physical design with recent contributions to project tape-outs as a technical driver and/or project head.
  • Intimate understanding of the full design cycle from RTL to GDSII, including chip-level implementations.
  • Experience with advanced FinFET nodes, TSMC 16 nanometer or below, including low-power design techniques.
  • Solid engineering knowledge of digital design and architecture, implementation flows, and physical and timing sign-off.
  • Development of timing constraints and design architectures to ensure timely delivery and meet power and area targets.
