Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team at Octopus Academy.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement comprehensive child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth in children.
  • Design and lead engaging activities, including storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions, to foster children's development and curiosity.
  • Support children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits, in a nurturing environment.
  • Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare detailed reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure collaborative support for children's well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment by planning and executing effective health and safety protocols.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other child development specialists and assistants.
Requirements:
  • Earned Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Experience in early childhood education is an asset.
