Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Systems Architect to lead the design and development of our embedded software features. This role will be responsible for breaking down product requirements into technical requirements, working closely with the Embedded Software Development team to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage hardware & firmware system integration requirements and verification & validation procedure for all Geotab Embedded Products.
  • Lead analysis and elicitation of hardware and embedded software integration requirements from product management team and customers for telematics tracking devices.
  • Translate initial requirements into functionality feature list for hardware and embedded software integration development.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
  • 10-12 years experience in system engineer or similar role, system requirements management, verification & validation procedure management and system requirements management tools.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, processors, embedded systems, and real-time operating systems.
