About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems for various building types and heights.

Your primary focus will be on preparing cost-effective structural engineering designs from conceptual design to detail design, tender, and construction in accordance with Canadian Codes and Standards. You will also perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations for industrial and infrastructure projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University. A Master's degree would be considered an asset. You should also be registered as a Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) within the Province of Quebec.

With a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the design of industrial and/or institutional type buildings, you will have a solid understanding of structural design and certification of various building types and heights, including lateral load analysis. You should also be proficient in the design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, and various types of heavy concrete foundations for buildings and equipment.

Proficiency in application of Canadian Codes and Standards is essential, and proficiency in US and International Codes and Standards is an asset. You should also be proficient in structural engineering design software, such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, MathCAD, RISA, etc.
