Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team as an Electrical Engineering Specialist - Automation and Control. This role involves participating in the installation, programming, and maintenance of electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic devices and controls used in industry for process automation or energy distribution.



Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing control equipment and systems; installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment and systems; analyzing the performance of electronic and electrical components, assemblies, and systems; consulting manufacturers' manuals, circuit diagrams, and charts to apply test and maintenance procedures for measuring instruments; controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other variables in manufacturing and processing; repairing and adjusting system components, such as sensors, transmitters, and programmable logic controllers or removing and replacing defective parts; installing control and measurement instrumentation on new or existing equipment and integrating it into processes; participating in the development of projects in conjunction with engineering, making drawings, electrical diagrams, determining the choice of components, and wiring of electrical panels; and performing preventive and predictive maintenance of various electrical and electronic circuits.



Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need a college diploma in electrical engineering or industrial electronics, or a related field, or an AEC in Industrial Automation and Instrumentation, along with 1-3 years of experience in control in a manufacturing environment. A certificate in electricity is an asset (CE).



Benefits


This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a bonus for night and evening shifts, a group insurance program (100% employer paid), a defined benefit pension plan (managed and funded entirely by the employer), opportunities for advancement, an employee assistance program available to all employees and their immediate families, a training program, service recognition program, and activities organized by the social committee throughout the year.
