About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team at SEAFOOD CITY SUPERMARKET. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat: Clean and cut meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, and trim and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Meat Handling and Safety: Remove bones from meat, grind meats, and ensure proper food safety and handling procedures are followed.
  • Training and Development: Train meat cutters and staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store environment with relocation costs covered by the employer.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cuisine Specialties: Experience with Filipino cuisine.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Familiarity with band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, and slicing machines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, flexible, and a team player.
