We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team at Carmacks Enterprises Ltd. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting Senior Management's decision-making process by delivering accurate and timely financial information. You will work closely with Project Management teams to ensure that project cost transactions are correctly allocated and recorded.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare regular reporting for PMs relating to budget and forecasting with periodic updates. Monitor project cost transactions and ensure costs are allocated accurately. Work closely with Project Management teams to ensure purchasing is in line with project estimates. Assist in identifying ways to streamline day-to-day project management operations as they relate to the accounting department. Respond to all inquiries from senior management. Provide detailed variance analysis on a monthly basis.
Requirements
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the construction industry or a project-based environment. A minimum of 3 years' experience in reporting in a multi-divisional organization, preferably with experience in the construction industry. Experience in report designing, implementation, and support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional designation (CPA) is highly valued.
