At Humber River Regional Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Addiction Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive addictions and mental health assessments for patients referred to our outpatient program.

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced addiction therapist to utilize their skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. As a key member of our treatment team, you will be responsible for providing individual, family, and group counseling services using a holistic approach and various therapeutic modalities.

You will work closely with patients, families, and significant others to promote optimal functioning and support individuals throughout all phases of recovery. Your expertise will also be utilized to develop and coordinate discharge plans, ensuring seamless transitions to internal or community resources as needed.

We are seeking an individual who possesses a strong foundation in addiction counseling, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive addictions and mental health assessments for patients referred to our outpatient program

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An Addiction Counselor Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing addiction counseling services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment
  • Experience working with chemically dependent individuals preferred
