Job Description
As an Assistant Cook and Hygiene Specialist at Sunshine Nursery, you'll be responsible for assisting the nursery cook in preparing nutritious meals for our young students. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene, ensuring that all children have rich and stimulating eating experiences. Your flexibility and reliability will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Cater for children with specific dietary needs
- Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation
- Deputise for the Cook in all absences
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need a Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification, experience in a commercial kitchen as an assistant cook or chef, and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH. You'll also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team, maintain high standards of safety and hygiene, and deputise for the Cook when necessary.
