Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Merchandise Manager to join our team at Edmonton Tire & Lube Ltd. O/A New Millenium Edmonton Tire & Lube Ltd. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for managing the flow of merchandise from suppliers to our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Management
    • Develop and implement effective merchandise plans to meet sales goals and customer demands.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise to our stores.
  • Inventory Control
    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory turnover and reduce waste.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that merchandise is accurately stocked and easily accessible.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train store staff on merchandise management procedures.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Experience in retail operations, purchasing, or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
