Job Description:

Bird Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Director to lead our industrial projects from initiation to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project delivery in terms of cost, schedule, quality, and project status.

About the Role:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely completion of objectives and control of activities.
  • Manage prime contracts and subcontracts, including negotiation, awarding, and review of subcontractor performance.
  • Oversee project financials, including invoicing and working with accounting to ensure timely payments for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Analyze costs, identify revenue opportunities, and optimize project expenditures.

Requirements:
  • Completed education in a construction-related discipline, with demonstrated, progressive experience in project management, specifically in industrial or large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with a collaborative approach to delivering results and developing team members in the industrial construction.
  • Service and results-oriented, with the ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Strong experience in safety management, project execution, cost control, quality assurance, and administrative functions specific to industrial projects.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
