Audiology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team at Plimmer's Hearing Centre. This is a permanent position, working 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have other trades certificate or diploma and be willing to train.
About the RoleThis is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service and making decisions on tests and procedures. You will work with patients to assess hearing loss, recommend hearing instruments, and perform follow-up examinations and readjustments. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, documenting patient rehabilitation progress, and managing routine office functions.
Responsibilities- Administer evaluative tests and instruct patients on test procedures and record results.
- Assist physicians in the assessment of patients and make decisions on tests and procedures.
- Clean and maintain equipment, and document patient rehabilitation progress.
- Develop information materials for patients and follow through on treatment programs.
- Examine adult clients to assess hearing loss and recommend type of hearing instrument.
- Fitness and adjust hearing instruments and manage routine office functions.
- Licensure by a provincial/territorial regulatory body for Hearing Instrument Practitioner.
- Other trades certificate or diploma and willingness to train.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to distinguish between colours, sound discrimination, and manual dexterity.
- A competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience.
