Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Symphony Communications Ltd. as a Kitchen Helper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, receiving and storing supplies, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen area is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Certifications and Training: Maintain Food Safety Certificate and Safe Food Handling certification, and participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an urban area, with public transportation available. The work environment is fast-paced, and the candidate must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
