About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team in Edmonton, Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for high-voltage substations and power projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed electrical design packages for substations and power systems
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project information to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers from other disciplines to ensure deliverables meet project requirements
  • Analyze vendor information to inform design decisions
  • Perform quality assurance and control of electrical engineering designs
  • Provide regular progress updates on project status and deliverables
  • Support commissioning and field engineering activities
  • Estimate project costs and develop project estimates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Professional Engineering designation required
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Intermediate-level experience with protection and control systems within substations, power systems, and renewable energy systems
  • Able to manage and deliver engineering deliverables as per project schedule and budget
