About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, approximately 30 hours per week, with opportunities for growth and professional development. You will work closely with our experienced project managers, designers, and other trade specialists to deliver exceptional results.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in drywall installation, including experience with metal stud framing, suspended ceiling grids, and ornamental plaster panels. They will possess excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and physical stamina, enabling them to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and meet the demands of this physically demanding role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets, ensuring precise measurements and smooth finishes
  • Mix and apply plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical ceilings
  • Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in compound
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry

You will also be responsible for preparing wall and ceiling layouts, reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and physical stamina
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $52,000-$62,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
