Freshly Squeezed - Food Service Supervisor Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of food preparation and service professionals. As a Restaurant Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and coordinate activities related to food preparation, portioning, and presentation.

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong leadership abilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints, and maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

We are looking for someone with 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry. A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish effective methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on team performance and other relevant metrics.
