Job Description

SharePoint Development:


Proficient in designing and implementing custom SharePoint Online solutions, including SPFx for client-side development, to meet the needs of Astra North Infoteck Inc.
Extensive knowledge of SharePoint 2013 migration and integration.
  • Expertise in utilizing Patterns and Practices (PnP) for best practices and reusable components.
    Extending SP functionality using low-code solutions:
    Creates Power Apps and workflows using Power Automate seamlessly integrated with SharePoint.
    Implements Power Platform components for enhanced SharePoint solutions, e.g. custom list forms.
  • DevOps and Cloud:
    Applies DevOps methodologies for optimized lifecycles, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality solutions.
    Proficient in Azure Functions and other Azure services for cloud-based functionality extension.
    Version control proficiency using Git.
  • Information Architecture:
    Designs effective data structures, taxonomies, and metadata in SharePoint Online to improve data management and search functionality.
    Configures and customizes Microsoft Search for optimized content discovery, meeting the needs of Astra North Infoteck Inc.
    Expertise in SharePoint Information Architecture, optimizing site structures and metadata.
  • SharePoint Online (SPO) Expertise:
    Advanced understanding of SharePoint Online, including administration and configuration, to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
    Implements SPO security best practices and governance frameworks to protect company data.
  • Solutioning, Designing, and Architecting:
    Leads end-to-end solution design for SharePoint and Power Platform projects, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
    Applies architectural principles for scalable and efficient solutions, meeting the needs of Astra North Infoteck Inc.
    Designs collaborative solutions, emphasizing document management, version control, and integration with Microsoft Teams.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Analyzes complex technical issues with creativity and a proactive mindset, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stays current with SharePoint trends, including SPFx, PnP, Copilot, SharePoint Premium (Syntex), and Microsoft Viva Connection, to ensure expertise and knowledge in the latest technologies and best practices.
    Drives initiatives for continuous improvement in technical solutions, meeting the evolving needs of Astra North Infoteck Inc.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
    Collaborates effectively with stakeholders, communicating technical concepts clearly, to ensure successful project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
    Provides leadership in guiding technical teams and mentoring junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the organization.


Requirements
Experience (Years): 8-10 Essential Skills: Hands-on working experience architecting Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions, including customization and integration. Guidewire certification is a plus. Other technologies of interest: Guidewire Cloud, Salesforce CRM, legacy modernization, and AWS. Proven knowledge & architecture experience in architecture (digital / digital marketing / micro / macro / monolithic services, APIs), application integration, service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture, application architecture, distributed architecture, data architecture, and modeling. Proven experience with modeling languages & techniques. Can quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. Can understand the long-term ('big picture') and short-term perspectives of situations. Strong technical background (platforms, languages, protocols, frameworks, open source, etc.). Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF) & architecture certifications a plus. Experience in engaging and supporting claims teams and understanding their day-to-day operations in the P&C insurance space. Open and clear communication with the business, telecom, infrastructure, security, audit, vendors, and software engineering. Driven by challenges and results. Organized, proactive, and a motivation for change. Knowledge on security standard methodologies and understanding the impacts it can have on a business. Comfortable working in a constantly evolving technological environment. An excellent teammate who demonstrates leadership. Comfortable speaking with all levels of the organization and different audiences.
