We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Patient Care Manager at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading organizational change.

About the Role

The Unit Manager for the David Schiff NICU is responsible for effectively managing human, material, and financial resources to deliver high-quality and safe patient care. This position participates in a collaborative approach to planning and decision-making among key internal and external stakeholders and serves as a role model for patient- and family-centered care, respectful relationships, and positive communication.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain open and timely communication with patients, staff, the multidisciplinary team, and the Patient Care Manager.
  • Actively identify and address concerns and ensure the safe delivery of patient care through a leadership role in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Active registration and practice permit with the appropriate regulatory body (CRNA, CRTA, or other).
  • Graduation from a recognized Baccalaureate Nursing education or equivalent diploma/degree in a health-related program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a pediatric or neonatal setting.
  • BCLS-HCP certification.
