Job Summary:

Island Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will provide direct patient care to clients and patients serviced through Centre Island Mental Health Services, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives at a local and regional level.

About the Role:

In this role, you will apply advanced clinical knowledge to assess, design, implement, and evaluate medication use initiatives, research, training programs, and the delivery of clinical pharmacy services. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care to clients and patients serviced through Centre Island Mental Health Services
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives at a local and regional level
* Apply advanced clinical knowledge to assess, design, implement, and evaluate medication use initiatives, research, training programs, and the delivery of clinical pharmacy services
* Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients

Requirements:

* Licensure by, or eligibility for licensure, by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
* An accredited post-baccalaureate PharmD from a Canadian University or an accredited Year Two Pharmacy residency
* At least two years of clinical pharmacy practice experience
