About the Role

Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying and addressing physical, emotional, and social needs
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and well-being
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, both verbally and in writing
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and interactions
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and standards of practice

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in nursing or related field
• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and well-being
• Clinical competencies related to the patient population served
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
• Functional proficiency in both official languages (oral and written in English, oral in French)
