Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, make beds and change sheets, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Support Services: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Work Environment: Our work environment is non-smoking, and we offer optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
