About the Role:
As a Health Care Aide with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support services to individuals who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal assistance and support with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements:
- Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
- Confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.
- Current students in approved Alberta nursing programs may be considered with proof of qualification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in long-term care settings.
- CCHSS training or ROL training an asset.
